| Anna Hill is creating an interactive 'nerve centre' artwork onboard the International Space Station that will interpret the scientific data collected. The aim is to enable the public to interact with the artwork through a website, space education and outreach networks. Space Synapse Systems is Part 2 of Auroral Synapse, a project that involved documenting and taking recordings from the aurora borealis to create a film and soundscape installation resulting from low radio frequency recordings of the Earth's upper atmosphere and the human voice. The aim is to explore subjective, intuitive, scientific and indigenous responses to celestial phenomena. |
