Chris O'Shea is an interactive media artist and independent researcher. His focus is on
creating works that encourage new methods of play and collaboration, challenging our
perception of space and physical objects. He constructs models of interaction that
borrow from toy design and video games, to create play situations within virtual
environments and in tangible devices.
In 2005 Chris became a First Class Honours graduate in BSc MediaLab Arts at the
University of Plymouth. During this time he was also a part-time Research Assistant at
the Institute of Digital Art & Technology. Following this he worked as a creative
technologist at AllofUs, creating interactive works for Tate Britain, Onedotzero (at the
V&A Museum) and THEpUBLIC. In 2006 he was the curator and co-ordinator for the
Cybersonica Sonic Art Exhibition. For Future of
Sound Chris is collaborating with sound designer Owen Lloyd.
