Sarah Nicolls is a member of Warp Records’ trio, Alexander’s Annexe, who have performed at Transmediale Festival (Berlin) and Sonar (Barcelona). For Future of Sound, Nicolls links piano and computer to harness the movement of small motors within the piano and translate them into electronic sounds. With Sam Meech creating live camera visuals, music and film bring together a combination of hauntingly old and dazzlingly new ambiences in an interactive performance framed by the kinetics of a top hat. |
